Velvet Hillsides

My thoughts were murdered, now I struggle to find replacements

Sitting there listen to lies formulated by your lips

I'm tired, your tired

I cringe and my eyes become dull

The land seemed to be covered in green velvet.

I hiked several hours that early morning.

The sun challenged me to a race to the top of the hill.

I won

Now I sit and wait for the light to meet up with me again

My bare skin is tickled as I lay back on to the grass

Outstretched

Laying here stuck in the limbo of awake and sleep

the battle begins

That is where I create and my words link together to mean something, anything

This is where I find peace

sleep or wide awake, who's going to win

sleep tugs at my mind, close your eyes and come with me

Forget about the living world , you don't need them

Sleep is always lonely

sleep kidnaps me at night until I escape it's dreams and nightmares coming into the morning

Wake up

another day is here

the days start blurring together and the rain keeps pouring

everyone stays inside, but I go out

Embrace the wet cold

let it soak my hair and pour down my face and body

my tears blend in when it's like this
