Words

I own nothing, yet have everything

Every foot step pushes the sand into a foot shaped pattern.

Take a bucket full and pour it into an hourglass

Turn it over and watch the sand transform to time right before your vibrant eyes.

Look causally away, ignore what you see and grow old.

Some days it easier to play the role of being naive

Stuff is more simple this way, and after all you can't blame yourself if you didn't know any better.

But you did know better, They see through you like a window left open in the storm, we all see it.

Your sweet words dissolve like sugar in the rain

Turning into nothing and sliding down the drains never to be heard again.

The lies echo from the sewage tunnels, muffled in the murky green water of trash and grime.

As they drown the words fade and we can scrub our minds clean once again.
